Rod ends and spherical bearings for motorsport requires quality in the vicinity of the aviation industry demands. Dynamic shock loads in combination with vibrations mean great stress. The following requirements should be imposed on the rod ends and spherical bearings in motor sports:

* High buoyancy
* Steel quality suited for vibration and shock loads
* Corrosion protection
* Lubrication-free
* Gap-free

RODOBAL’s precision series
for motorsport
RODOBAL type MTE meets all of these requirements.

RODOBAL is a well-known brand that has been used in industry since 1978. The program belongs to standard DIN 648K. Due to different materials and manufacturing techniques, we can offer different versions. Basic, Heavy Duty, lubrication-free, hardened, stainless are examples of qualities that are adapted to the installation case. The new MTE series is designed for motorsport where great demands are made on:

* Compact design
* Capacity to absorb high loads both radially and axially
* Resistant to shock loads and vibrations
* Lubrication-free
* 0-gap
* fine-threaded
* Temperature and corrosion resistant

RODOBAL’s MTE series is built as follows:

* Shaft (body): Forged, hardened, sanded, nickel-plated
* Bushing: Stainless steel with glued bronze reinforced PTFE, pre-tensioned for 0-gap
* Ball: Hardened steel, polished, hard chromed
* Thread: Rolled (not cut)

To further protect the rod end, we can offer sealings with (or without) stainless spacers.
