This ingenious damper combines rubber and hydraulic fluid as insulation material. This combination provides good insulation for a very wide range of interference frequencies. The rubber damper is located on top of this hydro damper and the liquid is encapsulated in the body of the damper.
An example of an area of use is to defibrate a tractor cab. This product dampens vibrations when idling and driving on good roads and when the vehicle starts working in more difficult terrain with hard shocks. The rubber material and the liquid damper work well at different frequencies and thereby replace each other.
This damper is failsafe, which means that the damper does not split even if the rubber breaks and releases in the event of upward axial forces. A strong washer under the flange prevents this.
This damper is compatible with most “cone dampers” on the market, so holes and important dimensions are standardized. This means that in cases where a cone damper does not meet the desired degree of insulation within a wide range with only rubber as the damping material, they can easily be replaced with these hydrodampers which reduce vibrations up to 95% degree of insulation.
The rubber element is made of natural rubber and is available in rubber hardness of 40, 50, 60 and 70 shore to be able to cover for different loads. The hydro dampers are available in two- and four-hole versions.
Hydro dampers are advantageously used for:
- engines with varying speeds
- agricultural machinery
- wheel loader
- tractors
- to insulate a superstructure from an engine
