Sandwich mountings are a simple design whereby the rubber section is sandwiched between a top and bottom metal plate. The mounting also incorporates an integrally bonded metal interleaf which increases the vertical stiffness and maximum load capacity of the mounting, whilst leaving the horizontal stiffness relatively unchanged. The mountings can be used in Compression, Shear or a combination of both. For ultimate performance the mountings can be used in a “V” arrangement.
